Shaheed Alam's Tennis Dream continues in Singapore Open ATP 250 Qualifiers
2020 was a rough year for my friend Shaheed in more ways than one.
While the world grappled with a pandemic, he also dealt with the loss of his father, who played a major role in his life on his journey towards starting tennis - the sport he loves.
Tomorrow he will be one of the first two Singaporeans in history to play in the ATP 250 qualifiers thanks to STA and SportSG.
Shaheed, while we are not able to have a full crowd to cheer you on like we did 2 years ago in the Davis Cup, know that we are all supporting you as one.
I hope this interview does some justice to your journey, it isn't much and it's pretty last minute, but it's from the heart.
